Snitch

A certain person I know doesn't know how to keep a secret. She obviously can't resist the urge to tell any bit of gossip to anyone, her name is Mara Taormina. I can’t really say the secret because first of all I don’t tell people like Mara and I’m not that proud of it. Anyways she told people the night after it happened even though she swore she wouldn't, and I thought we were BFFs. She first told two people, John Marlow and Nathan Sink, not a good idea at all. But she wanted it to spread around and she knew that John can’t keep his mouth shut. Then on Monday she does it again, she tells Riley Barber who of course can’t stop laughing but swore to not tell anyone. I can’t trust her with anything it seems. Of course she has to tell more people so today she just went too far, she told Ryan Petrul. She is seriously the biggest snitch and liar ever. This is no little secret so she had to tell everyone. She says she won’t do it again, but who would honestly believe that Mara won’t tell people about stuff that shouldn't be told. She also said the she is sorry, sorry doesn't cut it. Whatever she said I learned a lesson, but I think she needs to learn a lesson on keeping secrets. I can already guess the next two people that she will tell, Cody Strauch and Thomas Ross. If she does that will be the end of me and she knows it. I really don’t know why she does it, maybe just so she can ruin my life I don’t know. But I do know that I am never telling her anything again. Even though she told a bunch of people I am still going to BFFs with her.

Boring

Wow can school get any more boring, I feel like I’m taking a nap through the first three hours every day. What could be more boring than math, especially first hour. Anyways that’s’ sort of off topic, this is the real topic. Mara Taormina thinks she is all that, lol if only that was true. I really shouldn't have printed her paper, which would've been funny. I'm still not on the main topic; I'm supposed to tell you what I want to do when I’m out of high school and college. Anyways I plan to be a pothead, no I’m just kidding what I really want to do is be a jazz musician and travel to France and other countries and play there. Other than all the other wonderful cities in the U.S. For some reason Kelly thinks it's our anniversary on Friday and wants me to buy her a diamond ring. Like that’s actually going to happen. I really have nothing more to say except that I have a forty minute detention today because I said some certain words that I am not allowed to mention in this paper. Anyways let’s just say that one starts with an S and ends with hit and the other starts with a D and ends with an Amn. Everyone is saying that I should get new shoes only because they look like pieces of that word I got a detention for and have duck tape holding them together. I actually like them, I think they look sweet but sadly I am getting a new pair today after school. I know they won’t be as cool as these babies, but they will have to do. I’m really impressed with Mark; he started listening to the Dave Brubeck Quartet and liked it, which I do to.

Thelonious Monk

Thelonious Monk was one of my favorite Jazz pianists of all time. He would sing his solos while he played them. He would make a solo into a story, he would make the audience feel like they weren't just listening to jazz, but were listening to thelonious monk tell them about his story. He could make it sad or happy, but it would sound beautiful none the less. He woulod write the most gorgeous tunes on the spot and could make the whole audience fall into a trance of love for his music. He didn't just play, he would communicate with the piano and the music.

kelly is hott and i love her soooooo much ! :))

The first song on one of charlie parkers and is definetly the best song on earth. Even though he did about five different drugs before he would go on and perform this song, it was still an amazing masterpiece. Even though i based this post on this song I feel that I cant Leave out the rest of the record. Dizzy Gillespie was on that record and composed the song Salt Peanuts, he also sings plays the piano and the trumpet on this record. If I had to rate this 20 out of 10 no question, I love this stuff I feel like im charlie parker smoking weed and hanging out with some cool cats between sessions. To my left you will see the fantastic, the amazing, the stupendous charlie parker. coolest alive even though he is not alive.

Art Blakey

Art Blakey and his Jazz Messengers were widely known through the 40s to the 60s. Every Jazz musician played in his quintet from Sonny Rollins to Lee Morgan. I would recommend checking out Moanin and I remember Clifford on his album "Jazz in Paris". I'm not exactly sure which moanin came first, the Charles Mingus version, Art Blakey version, or the Sarah Vaughn version. Even though Sarah Vaughn Was the lyrics to moanin and Charles Mingus had two totally different versions one favoring brass and the other which is less common favoring the saxophones. He was more famous around the world rather than playing in a club every night. He was like Louis Armstrong with his fame in Europe and the U.S. Because the U.S. was a very segregated country at the time, so they would play were they were appreciated. He was one of those guys that always had a smile on his face and was relaxed on a bandstand. He was one of those guys who knew not to mixed up with drugs. A lot of quintets didn't have many drum solos but since he was one of the only drummers that were the leader in a band so he would always give himself a solo. The thing that made him different from everyone else was that he had every great jazz musician in his band at one time over the course of his era. A lot of people got their big break by playing with the Jazz messengers. One of the best alto saxophonists ever in my opinion is Charlie parker. He knew how to make a solo sound uncluttered even when he was playing thirty second notes through the solo. He died at a young age but before that he made beatiful tunes like Yardbird suite or Bloomdido. He played with many other great artists like Dizzy Gillespie and Louis Armstrong. If he lived longer I bet he would have had other sessions.
